Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of File Explorer. By installing or using the App, you represent that you are authorized to act for the applicable Shopify store and agree to these Terms.
1. Service
File Explorer provides tools to inspect and organize Shopify files through vFolders, review supported usage information, export selected resources, and create downloadable archives. vFolders are app-managed organizational metadata and are not Shopify’s native folders.
2. Merchant responsibilities
- Use the App only for stores and files you are authorized to manage.
- Review selections before modifying, replacing, renaming, duplicating, or deleting Shopify files.
- Maintain your own appropriate business-continuity and archival practices.
- Comply with applicable laws, Shopify terms, and third-party rights.
3. Backups and exports
File Explorer can generate downloadable archives. An archive is not a guarantee against data loss, and the current App does not provide automated restoration into Shopify. You are responsible for downloading and independently retaining files that are important to your business.
4. Availability and changes
We work to provide a reliable service, but availability can be affected by maintenance, Shopify APIs, Cloudflare services, networks, and other factors outside our control. We may improve, modify, suspend, or discontinue features, while providing reasonable notice when practical.
5. Fees
Any applicable pricing, billing interval, trial, and usage limits will be presented through the Shopify App Store or Shopify’s approved billing mechanisms before charges apply.
6. Intellectual property
You retain rights in your store content and files. LayerDevs retains rights in the App, website, documentation, design, and associated software. These Terms do not transfer ownership between the parties.
7. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the App by uninstalling it. We may limit access where reasonably necessary to address security, abuse, legal obligations, or material violations of these Terms.
8. Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant uninterrupted operation or that every Shopify resource relationship can be detected. LayerDevs will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the App.
